First Aid: Every Second Counts
Emergencies can happen anywhere: at home, at school or on the street. In a sudden accident, quick action is important. Knowing basic first aid can make the difference between life and death.
紧急情况可能发生在任何地方：家里、学校或街上。在突发事故中，快速行动很重要。掌握基本急救知识能在生死之间起到关键作用。
If there is an earthquake, do not rush to the door. Hide under a strong table and keep away from windows. After the shaking stops, leave the building quickly and go to an open space for safety.
如果发生地震，不要冲向门口。躲在结实的桌子下，远离窗户。晃动停止后，迅速离开建筑物，去空旷的安全地带。
When someone is burned, cool the wound with clean water at once. Do not put ice or heat on it, and do not break the skin. Then cover the burn with a clean cloth and take the patient to a doctor.
有人烧伤时，立即用清水冷却伤口。不要敷冰或热敷，不要弄破皮肤。然后用干净的布盖住烧伤处，带病人去看医生。
If a person cannot breathe, warn others to keep away and call for help immediately. You can ask a policeman or an officer nearby. While waiting, examine the person's condition and keep them warm but not too hot.
如果有人无法呼吸，警告他人远离并立即求助。可以叫附近的警察或官员。等待时检查病人的状况，让他们保暖但不要太热。
Remember the golden rule: keep calm and act quickly. Smoke and fire are dangerous, so never go back into a burning house. Take a medical course and practice first aid with your family. Every second counts!
